Ted Trueblood Chapter of Trout Unlimited Updated:08/2020

The headwaters of Idaho's great rivers, the Salmon, the Payette and the Boise originate in the Sawtooth Mountains. In southwest Idaho the Ted Trueblood Chapter of Trout Unlimited works to protect these waters and restore the fisheries.

Founded in 1991, the Chapter has undertaken numerous conservation projects and promoted fisheries education with its Trout in the Classroom program in four dozen area schools plus an annual youth Trout Camp. Named the top TU chapter in the United States in 2002 (Gold Trout Award), the Ted Trueblood Chapter hosted the 2007 Trout Unlimited National Meeting in Boise. In 2011 the Chapter received the Silver Trout Award among chapters nation wide.
