The University of Idaho Fort Hall Reservation Extension Program develops, implements and maintains innovative, research-based agricultural, youth and community programs that provide leadership and educational services to the Fort Hall community.

Programming covers the following areas: livestock and natural resource management, horticulture, farm business management, 4-H/youth and community development.

Programming in these areas sustains and improves current agricultural practices, introduces new agricultural technologies, works to improve the viability of Tribal farming and ranching, and improves overall quality of life through access to higher educational resources and opportunities.

The UI Fort Hall Reservation Extension Program is unique in that it is 100 percent competitively grant-funded through the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) under the Federally Recognized Tribal Extension Program (FRTEP).
